National College of Natural MedicineHours 30 per week Part-TimeDepartmentAdvancementClosing DateFriday, March 16, 2012Position DescriptionThis position is responsible for alumni fundraising projects, administrative duties and assisting with Advancement Team development projects and fund raising campaigns.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist the VP of Advancement and the Advancement Team in executing campaigns and events to involve NCNM alumni in a major capital campaign, and encourage their attendance of NCNM Partners events such as the Health Biz Expos, Sweetheart Medicine Ball, Product Knowledge Days, Graduation, Galas and continuing-ed events. Assist in the fundraising projects, cold calling for alumni donations, writing thank you letters and specific targeted mailings and e-mailings.Record and report all alumni donor activity in an accurate and timely manner and prepare reports and queries in support of fundraising campaigns.Assist in updating of alumni databases in concert with the Colleges SONIS tracking platform, detailing confidential personal and financial details. Assist in the design and implementation of a department strategic plan for alumni affairs that include involvement and recognition of alumni and preceptors. Ensure donors gifts are recorded, acknowledged, invoiced and tracked and provide year-end tax receipts to donors.Identify and contact alumni to serve in leadership and various other roles in response to the colleges mission in assisting with the building of the profession and make recommendations regarding alumni to the Board of Directors and Board of Regents.Develop opportunities to foster relationships with alumni through events such as admission recruitment, the Colleges newsletter, distinguished alumni lecture series and other planned events.Promote opportunities to connect NCNM students with successful alumni ensuring ongoing honoring of preceptors.
